Dolce (aka Da Koschel) is a 17hh Buckskin German Riding Horse mare by Donnperignon (FWB) out of Blue-Eyed Angel (HUNG). Dolce and Jutta competed Third Level, Test 3 on Saturday and performed a stellar test, earning a 70.897% under Beverly Rogers (S).
A HOT ONE
J’Equestrienne’s second foray to show in 2014 (mid-May) was a HOT ONE! Humidity levels soared on Sunday, making it very necessary to keep riders, horses (particularly the two black ones), and owners hydrated and cool. That presented some interesting opportunities as the show rings were about a 5 minute ride from the barns and ‘cover’ was pretty much non-existent. Ice, access to water, rubbing alcohol, beer, and Gatorade were key.
Sam (aka Souveraen) is a 17hh Black Hanoverian gelding by Souvenir (HAN) out of Givian (HAN). Sam competed in his first EVER dressage show/class on Sunday, Training Level – Test 3, under a young Finnish rider, Nita Korpela. The pair earned a score of 71.600% and were thrilled with their result.
Costi (aka Costalero XV) is a 16hh Black P.R.E. stallion by Uranio VII (PRE) out of Costalera VI (PRE). Costalero competed both days at First Level, Test 3. On Saturday Costalero and Jutta had a great day, earning 70.800% under Beverly Rogers (S), and on Sunday earned a score of 66.129% under Lisa Hyslop (S). Another wonderful show!
